I had a few beers last night, I think I read his comment incorrectly. 97% of Teamsters definitely did not vote in the strike vote. We don’t know how many actually voted. I can guarantee you it was a lot more than five years ago.

If he did, he won’t, and shouldn’t, make that public knowledge until at least after we get a contract.
I know the number for my local, it was very close to 70% of the eligible members voted. I’m gonna guess it’s pretty similar across the country. Much better turnout than the previous contract.

Actually, it should be made public if the number was fairly high.

The only problem is if they did publish it now if it was a high number, what should they do next contract?

UPS could realize that if the Union did not publish the number in the future, it could mean a low turnout.
