We’re providing free healthcare to everyone who enters the U.S.?
Damn, next thing you know we’ll have to provide nursing home care to them as well!

Who said it was free?

Are we billing the illegal immigrants for their care?

Are you a fan of answering questions with questions?

Sure. Helps me understand why you'd contest @Fred's Myth assertion that we're providing free healthcare to illegal immigrants.

Overpopulated? Where are you getting that?
Population growth in Central American nations is 1-2% annually. But with zero economic growth in agrarian nations with little to nothing in the way of the essential services needed to function as a state then even at that low percentage you've got overpopulation.

Then again VT you don't want them here to begin with so what difference does it make to you anyway?
More importantly aren't you one of those..let's see...one of those what is that they call themselves? Oh yeah, "professing and practicing Christians". Now if I recall one of it's most basic covenants and rules of compliance and membership calls for tending to the sick and needy. By not doing so are you not "witnessing" and instead throwing up a "stumbling block" to someone like myself who's a free agent sinner who is currently in the market for a religion that I too as many other s have already done get rich off of?

You've got a lot on your mind that has nothing to do with my question. Certainly they aren't developed enough, but there is economic growth and pockets of prosperity. Guatemala City has very prosperous parts for example that rival the U.S.. Democrats have been stoking this Mad Max version of Central America because it ultimately leads to more votes and power for them. Please tell me how we're to take care of all these people when automation displaces most of them? And Central America has a year round growing season. They can and do feed themselves.

Using the number you provided 1-2% it's doubtful that population will even be replenished at that rate.

Man, you haven't been paying attention to the severe droughts that has been plaguing that region for the past several years.

I see articles about drought potentially affecting food supply for two million. I don't see starvation. If they were going through an Ethiopia type famine the U.N. would be distributing supplies.

I so much like your first sentence, I took notes. That was an excellent entry. :thumbup1:

Did every Democratic Presidential candidate on debate night 2 not raise their hand in support of healthcare for illegal immigrants when asked by the moderator who supported it?

Agree. Healthcare is one issue I'll never agree with the Republicans on. Healthcare is a right and all Americans should have access to it. And not just the super expensive ER care that taxpayers end paying for anyway.
Once again Newf. Hospitals by means of their license and charter cannot discriminate on any grounds including refusing to treat people on the basis of citizenship. If you believe that the American people in their righteous might can choose to refuse to provide healthcare to anyone on the basis of citizenship , fine, but does that include Canadians , British , Indians, etc etc who get sick while being in this country? What if they did the same to Americans in their country? I get what you're saying but only if it were that simple. Central American nations are failing under the crushing weight of overpopulation and people are running away as fast as they can. Want to stop the tidal wave of people headed north? Then you have to start at the source.
Follow the progression and you will see, I did not assert that it was free, I was challenging Bacha’s implication that everybody on American soil is entitled to it, based on his claim that emergency services to the downtrodden are paid by everyone else(free).

The Washington Post reported that some members of Sanders' campaign have been lobbying to raise their wages. Field organizers say they make a salary of $36,000 annually but work 60 hours per week, which is an average of $13 per hour.

Kamala Harris, a critic of Acosta's Epstein plea deal, under fire for agreement she negotiated as California AG

Harris’ office was reportedly in charge of negotiating a plea deal stemming from allegations of sexual harassment and misconduct against former San Diego Mayor Bob Filner brought by about 20 women in 2013.
According to the Washington Examiner, Harris’s office drew backlash for letting Filner plead guilty to state charges of false imprisonment and battery against three women in exchange for a light sentence.
So rather than spend five years behind bars, Filner got three months of house arrest, three years' probation, some loss of his mayoral pension and avoided registering as a sex offender.

Everyone on American soil is in fact entitled to healthcare at hospitals, regardless of ability to pay or immigration status. That is simply the law as written.

Big difference between going to the emergency room for immediate need and millions having regular scheduled visits to a doctor and treatment regimens that are paid for by insurance. Having taxpayer money pay for millions of uninsured who shouldn't even be here is not only unfair to taxpayers but fiscally unsound. But let California go forward and show us how it's done.
