I was there in '97. I still have the picket sign I was carrying. Had my 12 year old son walking with me. He started with ups in the hub at 16 while in high school. He left to join the navy, came out and eventually went back to ups, where they reinstated his seniority date and gave him the back raises. I believe he has 19 years with them now, and he works in my old feeder department.
