That’s not what the language says. They can’t force you to work a Saturday schedule. In areas with yearly bids of a route says
22a
main and south street
Tuesday-Saturday schedule
And you bid on it that’s not forced.

Agreed, but because of the language they have to provide a Mon-Fri route for all pre 2019 RPCD’s which is what they are going to do next bid cycle.
They were going to rebid before peak but just slid all eligible RPCD’s to Tues-Sat and left everyone alone and made it work. Not sure if they are going to have us bid this Feb (we just bid last year and usually bid every 2 years) or make it work another year.
When we do bid we have already been told they know the number of Mon-Fri routes they must have as a minimum.

Again I think that’s how it should work but there is no language saying that. If you have 100 drivers and 25 are post 2019 there is nothing keeping them from making 50 routes Tuesday to Saturday. You are not “forced” to bid on one (here if you don’t bid you are just a cover driver).

I disagree. By not providing enough Mon-Fri routes for all eligible RPCD’s you are forcing them, that is how our local handled it. They may choose to take a Saturday route if it’s nice and they don’t want a city Monday route, then the RPCD is choosing.
We have an established number of routes that must be Mon-Fri to cover eligible drivers. That’s how it’s getting handled here.
