What would US look like with no economy? I mean, you can’t scream let’s end poverty than scream they only care about money when they’re trying to save people’s livelihoods. But you seem to have everything figured out. Without an economy there is no BrownCafe for you to go whine to.
Read that book.

Yes, I find your hypocritical, secular humanist positions funny.Even ridiculous. You set the example of what someone lives for and worries about who has nothing but what this world offers.
Open your eyes..if it's physical, it has a beginning and it has an end.
Yes, it will get worse. Humanity's problem? Well, we created the problem, and we have a responsibility to do what we can with what we have been given, but still it will get worse.

Hawking...Hawking..oh yeah...the guy who told us something can come from nothing.
" Something came from nothing"?...... Religion has been telling us the same thing for centuries. The only difference is that they created this Sky Pilot character in order to make their story more frightening and impactful.

You don't have to worry about that pal. The way you seem to want to do things the end result will be is that you'll have two or three levels of healthcare. From the very best known treatments available at the top down to the most basic level at the bottom.
What you will receive will be based entirely on your ability to pay.
That sounds about right. What you want is Cadillac insurance for Hyundai prices. With the government(us) paying for it. We'll end up with Cadillac prices and Hyundai quality.

But it sounds soooo impactful and logical when the secular humanist hero genius says it.
Everyone has a religion; that is, a belief system.
Some have a God-centered belief system and some do not, but everyone has a belief system.
Seems you'll accept anything and everything except God. That's an irrational place to be.
The Sky Pilot is supported by evidence.

The fact is Cadillac level healthcare was always available but few Americans could afford it which in turn brought about the creation of Medicare. Now when you get your Medicare card you don't HAVE to accept it. You can return it and go into the open for profit insurance market and buy your own policy in support of your conservative ideals and convictions.

When you book your flight on Sky Pilot Airlines how many free air miles does it qualify you for and how much extra does it cost you to bump up to first class? All that jet whine does get to you after awhile back in coach.

Well dingleberry I have been paying into Medicare for decades so that when I'm older I can have some medical coverage. But tell me, if government can't provide the excellent coverage in old age at low costs that you think they can't, then how are they going to do it for everyone? It's really not about giving us all great healthcare is it? It's about centralizing power in the national government by giving them control over an important segment of our lives.

No evidence of such an airline.

Be careful wearing that Something Came From Nothing Wing Suit. It's fun for a while, but you'll be dead in a short time.

The thing I keep hearing out of you cluckers is....."well I paid in, I paid in". But what would you do if we "socialists" never succeeded in getting it passed in the face of heavy Republican opposition in the first place? Go into the private for profit market and try to buy an insurance contract with a network some place in the country that would be willing to accept that contract's allowable charges as payment in full?

Why? Is the wrath of your God going to strike me down for my unwillingness to live everyday in fear and total subjugation if I don't both love and fear him at the same time?

Take a look at healthcare inflation going back before that passage you're so proud of.

Doesn't matter. It's the law of the land designed for seniors who are at a time in their lives when they have low income and need assistance with their healthcare. No would've, could've, should've, it is what it is.

Fine. Condemn Medicare and similar programs all you want. But just make certain that you'll always be in a position to be able to economically afford the alternatives that are there for you and you will use them rather than the programs you publicly despise.
So tell me what good are you doing bashing a system that you have every intention of taking full advantage of when you offer nothing better?
You know, sort of like your orange headed hero's "repeal and replace" of the ACA ? We saw the repeal part but saw no replacement......Because there never was one to begin with.

Fear?
You have been reading fairy tales.
Your secular mind knows nothing of the nature of God.

You don't get to force conservatives to pump their excess money into the program and then expect them not to try to make what they can of it.
If the government had an "opt out" button, that would be fair. People could take the taxes that fund those ponzi schemes and invest it for their retirement.
If you don't put that money towards your future, tough :censored3:. No bailouts.

But taking their money, and then acting like they should walk away from trying to reclaim it is stupid.

Conservatives are not being forced to do anything . Why? Because of the undying gratitude of millions of conservatives for the program even being there along with millions more hoping for the day when they will be of age to qualify.
And I'm quite certain that the few dollars per month they would have saved by opting out of Medicare would easily cover the cost of their quadruple heart bypass
