A response to Jamie Flemming's "White Board" Video

Really? It seems you just made her point with this video... I don't know why you had to drop so low and basically make a bullying video.

A former IBT employee who never worked a day in her life as a Teamster in a Teamster craft and makes over $100k/year did a hit job on a rank and file package car driver for advocating against the contract.. and you're upset someone responded to that?

Funny you say that. I saw her walking in to my building this morning, standing with all of the local 174. So I would assume she is a Teamster..

She's a dues paying Teamster for the purposes of eligibility to run for union office but has never worked as a rank and file member. I put her in the same classification as Todd T and Christie B.

She was hired by IBT directly out of college and then began working for L174.

TINO = Teamster In Name Only

She is a financial analyst with a lot to gain from selling this garbage contract on behalf of the IBT.

Because we don't want college educated people in the Teamsters.

Because people are wretched human beings.

If you put yourself out there like that attacking a rank and file member, you deserve to be ridiculed in turn.

If she wanted to simply present her argument as to why she thinks this is a good TA, I'd disagree and that would be the end of it.

Instead, she mentioned Tyler over 25 times by name, misrepresented what he said, attacked all Teamsters for being "weak", and waived the specter of a possible strike to try and scare people into a "yes" vote. She's in the same vein as Denis T, who spends his conference calls (on our dime, no less) attacking members and trying to scare us into voting for a substandard TA.

That's cute that you're trying to paint me as anti-education. I got my degree while working PT at UPS.

There's nothing wrong with having a college degree and IBT (and even some locals) has a need for certain specialists (finance, legal, etc.) that may not have rank and file experience. However, we don't need "college professionals" with zero experience working as rank and file members in positions of leadership or doing social media hit jobs on rank and file members.

Yeah, discussing her breasts was something that needed to be addressed in that video. sure

I have to say she did kind of bring this on herself. She should have stuck with the facts. She was doing well that way. Instead she tried to make a driver look like a idiot. So she's fair game now.

I must say I didn't like how she tried to call members weak. She's never had to file a grievance in her life. She hasn't dealt with management harassment or weak local leadership. So for her to act like it was a joke or our fault was BS.

To be fair, you're absolutely right. She was also attacked in a pretty chauvinist way in the thread where you posted her original video and on social media. I absolutely don't like what she's said but she doesn't deserve to be attacked on the basis of her being a female.

I wasn't endorsing the video, simply sharing it.

I did not feel she attacked him in the video I was looking for facts to compare

She comes off in a video as know it all, but she had facts. A very reasonable facts that make this contract not as bad as everyone makes it to be. Too much panic for nothing. I think an only change that would make everything better is to make 22.4 driver to receive a full driver pay while preforming driver duty aka delivery of packages and receive less pay for in building work.

When Teamster officials chastise you for bullying.....all you have to do is laugh. Some of the biggest bullies the world has ever seen, many straight from the mob. As a woman I like that she was put in her place. Maybe over the top on a few things, but the bs she spewed is far more harmful than this video.
