Its still way too early and there are more potential candidates than in the Kentucky Derby.
Came within a hair's breadth of electing a black, female, liberal in a majority white, conservative state.

Oprah can be a factor but her support doesn't mean as much as it did a few years ago. She has a very solid but small base.
I think all states are majority white. Georgia is 30.5% black. Much higher than the national average.
True, but she would've had a better chance in Oregon or Vermont on paper. Came very close in a state that's considerably more conservative

I think so many people in the burbs were just put off with Trump.
Abrams is a Socialist and any other year she would have lost by 20 percentage points rather 2.5%

She got a ton of out of state support. If she hadn't been such a bad candidate she would have won.

She definitively got millions of donations from outside the state.
She is also a very affable politician.
She is actually someone with whom most would be both impressed and respected.
Her ideas are extremely offensive but she is not.
That is why she lost ... she couldn't run away from her ideas and her funders.
