Prosecution are acting like they thought they had a slam dunk and got way too sloppy.

They have revealed all kinds of lies. I think he did it or had it done, but I can't figure out motive. Drug connected maybe.
I don't think it was the "boat people" he started talking about 30 seconds after the police got there.

I think he probably did it too but looking like too much reasonable doubt to convict.

I noticed you excluded being sick if killed your own wife. I guess there would be some exceptions in that category.

Jurors tend to follow the most basic issue- motive.
Given that two separate weapons were used and not recovered does play into the notion that others may have been involved. Which increases the possibility of reasonable doubt.

There is no doubt he was there at the kennel when they were killed. Two guns not found, another shooter?

There lies the issue, can the state definitely prove that he acted alone ?
Given the short amount of time open for him to shoot, remove and hide the weapons, one would think that the investigators should have located something by now.

Sloppy police work. They quickly decided he's guilty and got lazy.

Here's a thought, I know it might be far out there but it could change everything.
What if he convince his wife to shoot the kid and then he killed her ?
Was his wife tested for GSR ?

His family has money and can afford it but if he couldn't win with the mediocre job by the prosecution it's just throwing money away. He is a thoroughly unlikeable person getting little sympathy from a jury. I thought he had a chance of a hung jury or even an acquittal this time but he blew it with his horrible performance on the stand.
