The only politics that came up during my college education were with other students that I disagreed with. Conservative hillbillies that made it in to school because they had a high class rank in their school of 12 students. They were generally stupid and openly racist, a few were able to have thoughtful discussions but not many.

When did you attend college? My point has always been that college now is not what college used to be.

I went to the local arm of the state university.
When the examples in your calculus class all seem to be word problems about global warming, one can safely assume there is a liberal slant at play.

It’s indoctrination nowadays, not education. Try being a conservative (grand)parent with a (grand)child in college/university. The complete dismissal of taught and learned values is eye opening. It will take years in the School of Hard Knocks before they realize their error.

It’s the same bad faith lies the right is famous for. Like Facebook has a liberal bias when 8 of the top 10 shared stories are all right wing every day. "Well aren't you special" (college educationed to boot): unlike those "conservative hillbillies..
"or as Hilary quoted "Those Deplorables":......

a. "generally stupid"

b. "openly racist"

c. "a few were able to have "thoughtful discussions" but not many."

Yeah...We all know who the racists and bigots are on this site!

Shapiro is a far right wing propagandist. He advocates for nothing moderate. When @Box Ox Parrots his talking points he isn’t putting forth moderate positions.

He’s actually pretty nuanced in his reasoning. And when I say colleges and universities are pumping out hard lefties more than ever, that’s not exactly a Ben Shapiro-exclusive take.

I appreciate that you’ve become an English teacher on a forum for truck drivers so that you might still have an avenue for trying to bruise the credibility of my moderate opinions when you’ve got no effective response to the opinions themselves.

Yup.
"ProPublica and First Draft tracked Facebook posts using voting-related keywords — including the terms “vote by mail,” “mail-in ballots,” “voter fraud” and “stolen elections” — since early April, when Trump began attacking voting by mail. Mentions of these voting-related terms nearly tripled on Facebook, with interest in the topic spiking after Twitter attached a fact-checking label to Trump’s false tweets and directed users to a fact-check page on May 26. Twitter’s intervention prompted Trump to claim that Twitter is “interfering in the 2020 Presidential Election” and “stifling FREE SPEECH.” Facebook has refused to take down Trump’s false claims about voting by mail."

See above.

He’s not nuanced at all. The lie about college indoctrination is wide spread on the right. They believe in conspiracies. The reality is people with an education don’t find modern conservatism appealing. The majority of the country doesn’t find modern conservatism appealing.

Thank you for being concerned. I’m fine thanks. Speaking of posting, you’ve posted 8x more than me and we joined around the same time. It’s always important to do a little homework. College is important.
College is a joke these days, nothing is stopping individuals from reading, listening to podcast (lots of educated people that love to talk about their favorite subjects in depth) and learn about things that interest them.

You don’t need a college degree to understand the democrats are going to take your union healthcare, lower your union income with taxes, allow the flooding of our borders and probably take away Trump’s protectionist tariffs. All of these things have been major political priorities for unions since the beginning.

You're talking about bias and using propublica and a blogger who participated in the Mueller report attack as your source? Holy hell talk about full blown delusion.

Those who talk badly about America‘s college and universities on Brown Cafe, never attended college, didn’t have the grades. Graduating from college is something 80% of Brown Cafe posters couldn’t do.
