Demographics suggests that we(US) are in a blue collar labor shortage for the foreseeable future. Great environment for unions and higher wages for less attractive work.

Ok. Then why are they building huge new buildings everywhere? Huge buildings....
This is a separate real estate investment trust called prologis that produces and rents or sells the buildings.
Lamb to the slaughter should amazon recall their warehouse space.

Well, you should be worried. Newsflash: most folks don't care about "professional manner". MOF, they sure won't pay extra for it. BTW, have you seen a typical UPS driver lately? Up to and including facial tats........

And those TEMU products.......when you add premium cost shipping to them.......?
Agreed. I could give a rats ass what the driver or their vehicles look like. Just get my stuff delivered in a relatively quick time frame and not damaged.

No one cares about service anymore, or at least enough to change a company’s shipping methods. Besides our service is beginning to look like a lot of our drivers…crap!

Per internet:

Amazon Shipping and Amazon Transportation Service (ATS) are two different but related services provided by Amazon for delivering packages to customers. They are not separate courier companies but rather logistics and delivery services operated by Amazon.

Here's a brief overview of each service:

  1. Amazon Shipping:Amazon Shipping is Amazon's in-house logistics service that focuses on delivering packages for select Amazon orders.it is used primarily for packages shipped by Amazon itself, not packages fulfilled by third-party sellers on the Amazon platform.Amazon Shipping may use a combination of Amazon-owned delivery vehicles, independent contractors, and local delivery partners to fulfill orders. The service is designed to complement other delivery carriers and logistics providers used by Amazon.
  2. Amazon Transportation Service (ATS):Amazon Transportation Service, on the other hand, is Amazon's program that allows third-party delivery service providers to partner with Amazon to deliver packages.ATS contracts with independent delivery service providers, often referred to as "Amazon Delivery Service Partners" (DSPs), to handle last-mile delivery of Amazon packages.DSPs are responsible for hiring drivers, managing delivery routes, and using their own delivery vehicles to complete Amazon deliveries.ATS enables Amazon to expand its delivery network and capacity by leveraging a network of independent delivery providers.
In summary, while Amazon Shipping primarily handles Amazon's own package deliveries, Amazon Transportation Service (ATS) involves partnerships with third-party delivery service providers to handle last-mile delivery. These services are part of Amazon's broader logistics and delivery ecosystem, aimed at ensuring efficient and timely package delivery to Amazon customers.

The saddest thing is that Amazon is at a position today that it can make a million mistakes and still be worth 10 times UPS in the stock market. I mean look at the market cap of amazon vs UPS. UPS had on paper record profits in 2020-22 but still according to the stock market, amazon is worth about 10 UPSes

As long as Amazon can get equity flown into it up the ass like it has been for the past 20 years (which at this point is almost a 100% guarantee), it doesnt really matter how profitable UPS is unless as a corporation we can prove that we have a means to grow significantly which I dont think is possible unless Amazon unionizes or we continue to grow those 2nd party delivery entities in India

With all respect.......so?

UPS and FEDX and the Postal Service have all kinds of alphabet divisions and branches and "wholly owned subsidiaries".....

This is to shelter taxes and divert and blah blah.

This is to insure maximum profits and take over the world......don't kid yourself.

Amazon doesn't have a Union and can jettison that ATS unit in a hurry.

We make a million too, but we suffer much greater blowback. Look at how badly as a company we messed up on those negotiations… all that volume lost just from loligagging

Amazon is under an antitrust lawsuit as we speak and nobody seems to care
