So Thursday morning wifey says we need some mosquito tablets to put in her
garden rain barrels. Kills the larva before they can grow. Go on Amazon, $21.
But free shipping on orders over $25. So I buy some mousetraps, hey never
have too many mousetraps when you live in the woods, to bump it up to get the free shipping.
Delivery in 4 to 5 business days. Fine.

This morning, Sunday, in pulls the post office with my order with the box wrapped
Amazon prime shipping tape. Check my receipt, yep free shipping. Wonder how a
Prime subscriber would feel about that? UPS Sunday delivery? Yeah it's coming.

When the wife told you she needed these tabs you should have tossed her the car keys and said "don't forget to fill up the car while your out".

If I done that I most likely would have received another beating. Those frying pans hurt.

Yeah, it was some young kid, barely looked 21, in jeans and a t-shirt.

  6. I don't think that would fly here having casuals working the weekends. UPS would advance as much work as they could for the weekends, it would hurt the regular work force during the week.

UPS would love to decrease top rate drivers work load during the week and pay someone 18.75 to do the same work without having to deal with the 9.5 low stamina old guys.

They are trying to do this very thing right now. Google hybrid drivers.

I had a conversation with a USPS driver here not too long ago. My understanding is that the FT people drive M-F or T-S here while the PTers work S/S or S/M. Here they also only run Amazon on Sundays.

  10. A race to the bottom. They used to have a strong union.

My brother has 32 in with the USPS as a mail carrier. Says the union is a joke. Nothing like
    it used to be.

  12. That's what I heard from some of the carriers.

They have like 3 or 4 different unions there.... maybe get Hoffa to become their union daddy.... although that might be taking a couple steps backwards though...

Instead of spending $20.00 on tablets, just get a few goldfish.

    Hope this helps.

lol that you think the shipping really was free. It may have appeared free to you, but not to the seller and shipping company. Nothing really is free, they get the $$$$ somewhere.....

    Hope this helps.
