Before cell phones if we had to call the center we called “collect” from a pay phone and they always accepted the charge

We had a number we could call from any pay phone that would relay the call to our center.

Also I was given a pager back in the day because my diad cradle was broken.

They also asked for it back out of the blue like two years after I stopped using it. Luckily it was in a coin jar on the counter

Just started in the office and want to make sure I'm not using my personal when I could get a company phone.

Company phones tend to be handed out to certain groups in certain departments. It all depends on what you do and is their a business justification.
