Yep, that's part of the reason why post-war we dismantled big business and the military, but left the emperor. The Emperor was pretty much a figurehead and the real power was the military and industrialists.

I think these are all horrible policies. You need an FFL for a fully auto firearm in the United States because it’s good policy. Just like you can’t have a landmines in your yard or napalm at the ready

One should beable to booby trap their own dwelling
Yep. I've been through the Class III NFA process and it doesn't make fun stuff very difficult to get at all, it just helps make it stupid expensive. Doesn't require you be an FFL btw.I think these are all horrible policies.
Imperial Japan is one of my favorite cultures and governments of that period. It was a very radical society shaped by political assassination, a rogue out of control military and a divine right to rule.Weebs lol
To ultimately get their narrow patoots handed to them. Of which they have never recovered.Imperial Japan is one of my favorite cultures and governments of that period. It was a very radical society shaped by political assassination, a rogue out of control military and a divine right to rule.
They went from hacking each other to death with samurai swords to defeating the Russians in relatively short order, pretty impressive stuff.
Okay we aren’t dealing with a military dictatorship when that dude was killed. We are dealing with post WW2 japan. Also Maoism was far more destructive and killed millions more Chinese than Japan did.And japan military dictatorship was worst than Maoism. Japan got led into a disastrous war by its military cabinet and imperialism.
So that makes it okay that china's brutal authoritarian communist government is committing genocide....
I don't think you thought that through pal.
Really because last time I checked japan killed 15 million Chinese. The first day they invaded Philippines they killed like 30,000 and poisoned the water.Okay we aren’t dealing with a military dictatorship when that dude was killed. It’s greatly exaggerated by the west. Lol at the USA trying to be the moral compass. So that makes it okay that china's brutal authoritarian communist government is committing genocide....

A lot of deals were done at the end of the war. One was keeping Hirohito in to prevent communists from moving in and to block the military from power. Another was the same industrialists were left to rebuild and are still around today.

It sounds to me like he is denying genocide is taking place. Guess he doesn't realize that the Han isn't the only ethnic group in China. It will be soon, though. We'll just keep ignoring that and buy our slave-labor produced IPhones.
It is interesting stuff, but I don’t like how the Japanese government downplays it role. They did horrible things.Imperial Japan is one of my favorite cultures and governments of that period.
