She's not spoiled. She's not petulant. She's not a druggie.

Her prior words and actions do not support that statement.
She's a US citizen that was unjustly held prisoner in a foreign country. The US government was going to work to free her.

Although I personally and vehemently disagree with the severity of her punishment, Griner was not held "unjustly." She broke their laws.

There are other Americans held prisoner in plenty of foreign countries for similar and lesser crimes and for far longer than Griner. And she was traded for a mercenary who's actions have contributed to the injuries and deaths of members of our military.

Griner received preferential consideration from our government for no other reason than identity politics.

You guys realize that Trevor Reed was released in a prisoner swap with Russia, right?

He's not black.
He's not a celebrity.
And he was released before Britny Griner.

Is it morally right to lock someone up for a decade having something they sell at 7/11?

where's yours that a celebrity druggie received preferential treatment over a marine who went there for a wedding 4 years ago.
we find ourselves constantly trading killers for tourists with Russia.
we should have blocked all tourism to Russia as soon as it happened the first time.
Looks like Whelan wasn’t quite the Boy Scout Marine you’re painting.

Yes. She made a mistake. She doesn't deserve to serve 15 years in a Russian prison over a mistake.
no one said sheshould but she did break the law in that country and thats why she was in that predicament. Those celebrities get briefed on what to do and not do. She thought she was above their laws and paid the price.
