I did.

He tried to walk it back, but it was just a stupid thing to say.

Because, you know, ‘mental enslavement’ was the slaves’ choice.

As if that was the issue.
He's speaking of current day "slaves," you obviously lack something and can't understand his message. Here's a question, "Where is the plantation today, and who are the slave masters?" Take your time mustering an answer.

Kanye West: “Slavery was a choice”.

Umkay

another lulz listening to CNN for his sound bites

Kanye's point for those who aren't too lazy to research it is there are no slavery victims in todays world. anyone who wants to make their selves a victim of slavery in todays world does so by choice.

So when Kanye says:

“When you hear about slavery for 400 years ... for 400 years?”

“That sounds like a choice.”

Sorry kids, no matter how he backtracked, that’s what he actually said.

Pretty sure he wasn’t being Post-Modern.

He was correct, when was slavery brought by Europeans to this continent? When was it abolished in the United States? Do some still claim to be slaves? You have your 400 years. Do you understand that, can you explain that? I didn't think so.

Not even.

Don’t overthink this - you’re trying to defend a position Kanye didn’t actually take. You’re putting your words in his mouth.

Fail.

FFS.

He’s possibly correct about 400 years, but that’s not what we’re quibbling about, is it?
