I beg to differ. We had a guy get canned for calling another employee on the weekend "giving him crap" for getting first guy in some trouble at work. Never got job back. Of course- we likely have the weakest representation in the entire union...

From what ive seen it all comes down to liability and if it originates at work.

Think what a slick lawyer could do with this kind of reasoning.

I drink off the clock and off company property. My job/company is why. Drinking is the only thing that relieves the pain I suffer.
I kill a kid on a bicycle driving home from the bar because I'm drunk.
The company is libel.

What are people fighting over? I’ve had words with plenty of drivers but never felt that any of what caused it was worth fighting over. I swear this job turns so many already weak minded men into emotionally unstable goons.

I’ve seen fights in the bldg between drivers, no one reported it. I’m surprised it doesn’t happen more often.

Two drivers start slugging it out in a pkg car about 1/2 hr before start time.
Preloader(Steward) thinks quick and pulls down roll up door.
Drivers became best buddies(Softball/fishing) a while after.
Cant remember what it was about….Probably stole the other drivers carbon paper or something.

My one son jumped over a belt and clocked a guy . Not sure what he got fired for fighting or a moving belt violation. Any way he is banned for life. He tried to get a job in another state and was marked do not hire on the HR computer LOL
