But one problem is, UPS doesn't give us a certificate to show that we have had training, and I don't know if the insurance companies would recognize it if they did.
Scratch, that may or may not be true. I have in my hand a "Certificate of Road Test", issued by United Parcel Service, which states, in part:
"This is to certify that the above named driver was given a road test under my supervision on____________consisting of ________miles of driving. It is my considered opinion that this driver possesses sufficient driving skill to operate safely the type of commercial motor vehicle listed above."
Now, it says, "Road Test". Would this constitute a certificate of training? Maybe not. I ain't gonna test it cuz I only got about 2 yrs left anyway and ain't had no crashes in over 45 yrs of driving-29 with this company-so's insurance ain't no problem.
