I'm pretty sure I lucked out because we're so close to peak season. I was given 2 days off and have an on road sup riding with me on Monday. If all goes well I'll be back to driving after that. Stupid mistake that ain't going to be repeated. Thank y'all for the feedback

With experience you'll learn to look at the trailer(s) as you drive up to them and determine if they are too high, too low or pitched downward.

You won't get fired for taking the time to reposition a trailer so that it is safe to hook to.

If questioned simply say you were being safe and "do you want me to have another accident?".
