You need to understand that if you go to a developing nation power and wealth is centered into even fewer hands than the U.S. And those with the power and wealth jealously guard it. And plenty of blacks and Latinos in the U.S. have accrued wealth. They went out and earned it rather than expect someone to just give it to them.

It's definitely better overall for whites but blacks and Hispanics also have people doing well. I lived in far south Texas for several years. Most of the doctors, lawyers, teachers, dentists, police, etc, etc were Hispanic. Overwhelmingly. This idea that whites are hogging everything and minorities aren't succeeding anywhere is just plain not true. I retired from FedEx. A number of my old mgrs were black. The VP in charge of domestic ground operations was black. The list is endless.

Ok so let's reward marriage gay or straight give them tax credits or no sales tax and a stipend until they build up enough wealth to feel equal. If a woman can leave her baby daddy collect food stamps and free housing why would they stay. Help promote marriage and home ownership

Sounds good to me. But imagine being the politician who would have to say that the African American family structure is probably the biggest barrier to wealth building black communities face today when introducing the legislation.
