you tell me. Are Aux officers even POST certified/re-certified in Ga for firearm use?
Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training Council

I'm telling you that conversations recorded with the property owner of the house under construction shows that those two were being used by the local police chief to assist him in that area. He offered that property owner their help if he needed it.

how that local police chief was using those two will be a key component of their defense.

Big difference between open carry and threatening an unarmed person with a shotgun. I imagine he thought he didn't have much of a chance with three men so he tried to disarm the nearest one.

because stopping and putting your hands in the air was not an option?
Running into someones yard and screaming for help was not an option?
He had other options then simply running at and attacking a man pointing a gun at him.
Facts still have to come out but there's a lot of potential stupidity on both sides of this issue.

If they threatened him that would be relevant.

That conversation is critical . no body cams to help out here.
I believe the guy with the police experience was in the bed of the pickup. His ability to act as a witness to the actual shooting and provide critical testimony as someone with the background he has will help their case.

The shooters were probably negligent and created the situation but a huge step below murder. Nobody would have gotten shot if Arbery hadn't attacked a guy with a gun.

the thing i dont understand is the victims decision. If i'm fit and athletic like him and running to get away I'm not running down the road right at a pickup that is waiting for me. I'm cutting across peoples yards and jumping fences to get away. them two bubba's aint jumping no fence to catch me.
Instead he runs down the road at the pickup which I'm sure he see's stopped in front of him and then runs right at the guy with the guy to try to disarm him?

That jumped out at me too. A car blocked you when you are on foot?

Gregory McMichael, the former Georgia police detective whose actions in the fatal shooting of Ahmaud Arbery were defended as a citizen’s arrest, was stripped of his law enforcement certification and power to arrest a year before the deadly encounter, the Washington Post reports. McMichael’s certification was suspended in February 2019 after repeated failures to complete required training, including a warning in 2014 that McMichael had neglected to finish mandatory firearms and use-of-force courses.

District Attorney Jackie Johnson, the first prosecutor to handle the Ahmaud Arbery case, faces a new allegation about the handling of the investigation into a shooting that has shocked the nation. Glynn County commissioners Allen Booker and Peter Murphy claimed that Johnson’s office stood in the way of arrests. That’s more than notable because one of the defendants–Gregory McMichael, 64–used to work for her office at an investigator.
“The police at the scene went to her, saying they were ready to arrest both of them,” Booker told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “These were the police at the scene who had done the investigation. She shut them down to protect her friend McMichael.”

We need the full video and an accurate report of what exactly happened. I hear what you are saying but WHAT IF:

As he's jogging a pickup passes him then blocks the road in front of him. He turns to run the other direction (avoiding a possible conflict) just to have another pickup following the first block the street where he was going to run to avoid a situation. Meanwhile 2 rednecks get out of the first truck. One gets up in the back with a .357 while the first comes at him with a shotgun.

What's his choices now?

Nobody out runs a gun shot.

Remember, these are 3 rednecks who can not be confused with a uniformed police officer!!!

I think there is a very dangerous narrative among race baiters out there, pushing fear and hatred of white people. I'm not surprised it results in things like this.

Not surprised an unarmed blackman was shot to death while jogging in broad daylight? By 3 redneck vigilantes? Let me guess, you miss the good 'ole days when you could just whip them instead of having to outright kill them?

I mean "how dare that darky run by our house? "

An idiot died when he attacked someone holding a shotgun. If you're surprised by that I'm not sure how you made it this far in life my young friend.
