I am trapped in front of the TV.
Citizen Kane is on.
Damn, it is a good movie.

It doesn't move fast.
I now understand the brilliance of a director.

Deep Throat -------Oh scratch that---I guess that was 1972. How about Cool Hand Luke and The Great Escape.

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.

Once Upon A Time In The West. IMO the alltime best western of all and the 3 you named are awesome but also Joe Kidd. Opps 1972' also.

Outside the western category, agree with Coolhand Luke but also FailSafe (another Henry Fonda classic) and something I share with the late Howard Hughes, Ice Station Zebra. Also Doctor Zhivago and we can't forget 2001' A Space Odyssey.

Fenderbender
Guys and dolls
The wizard of oz
Ben Hur
The agony and the ecstasy
The telltale heart
to name a few that I grew up with

Good call! I believe the score/soundtrack AND the cinematography of the gunfights helped make that movie great. Very much like the end of Good, Bad, Ugly.

Prescription for Murder. The very first Columbo. 1967.

Well if you're going to bring up Peter Falk, then another good movie (a fun movie) The Great Race with Tony Curtis, Natalie Wood and Jack Lemmon and directed by Blake Edwards.
