Got the T-Shirt
Article 34 #7 says, " Any employee receiving LTD pursuant benefits to this plan shall be entitled to receive health care coverage in accordance with the
SPD for up to 12 months only." I propose we change this to 24 months minimum!


Great idea. I will go one step further.

It should match the length of LTD, which is 5 years.


Imagine.... how devastating a serious health issue (cancer) could wipe out any financial

foothold, you have on life.

While we're on this topic, the pay out on short-term disability is pathetic, and I encourage most guys to get supplemental disability insurance. Can we get this improved? Two hundred dollars a week, are you serious!!

That's awesome. Maybe I'm naive, but wouldn't that make it easier to negotiate it in nationally? Obviously they're willing to do it. Now make it automatic. They still have some incentive to cut routes, they can save on pension and h+w contributions, but maybe they'll tone it down a little knowing it will cost them.

bug whats your proposal to the marble palace to improve teamcare?
the company keeps paying more EVERY single year!
its funny that we now have to bargain with our union to get healthcare improvements !

I say we get rid of teamcare but only in your local. The money we save on offering you nothing since you hate it so much will be dispersed in an additional raise for the rest of us. I'm confident it will pass.
