Amazon says delivery times back to normal after delays

Delivery company UPS said winter storms caused some delays in Colorado, Utah, the upper Midwest and the Northeast.

"Overall, the UPS network is performing as expected to handle a record increase over our normal daily volume between Thanksgiving and Christmas,” the company said.

Aka many many rolled loads will be moving this weekend and showing up to their centers. Monday will be a :censored2: show.

And......?

Sit in the jump seat and give directions for $36/hr? Yes, please!

We were told it was double time, even as a helper, once we were over 60. I said sign me up! Then they decided to go to the 70 hour rule, so I still got my 9.5 at double time but drove the route myself. We currently have 26 trailers rolled. It’ll be weeks (if not months) before we’re caught up. My kids are older now...bring on that premium pay.

You mean the typical hours every lineman in the country works when there’s a storm?

The hours every farmer works during planting or harvest season?

The hours every asphalt crews work in the middle of summer?

I’m sure there’s plenty more.

Farmer work = sitting in automated combine that drives itself based on GPS while listening to a podcast and drinking bear so yeah 96 hours of that is not that hard
