The old trucks did have an over sized opening and it happened once in a while. Drain the fuel lines and change the fuel filters and siphon out the tank. You couldn't get very far. Usually from the pumps to inside the building. All of the new gas trucks have the small opening with the flap.

We have like 14 diesel shifters here, and one gas shifter.

We had some that were converted from diesel to the GM 4.3L V6 engines. Most were the old P 500 4 speed with no power steering or P 800 with no power steering.

several people have done this at my building. whenever i get the chance i ask the managers if they train new drivers on diesel vs gas. i already know the answer though.
