A driver in my center has a doctor's note stating that he can't work more than 8 hours a day for a couple of weeks. He had foot surgery earlier this year, and it's acting up on him. He's on the 9.5 list. I've seen management work with other people with medical issues (guy with a bad back had a helper for a bit), but I wonder if this doctor's note/prescription can be enforced, and if so, how. Any suggestions?

Light duty. Air work in morning doing office stuff later on

Light duty only given if injured on the job, otherwise it should be short term disability until able to do the same work as everyone.

Yeah, they've been pretty inconsistent with light duty. It is an on the job injury. He just sent me a text that he is off today.

I remember my light duty-----loading pallets of printed stuff at a big printer in town.
