Some of the guys are just not very good. Some have a ty work ethic. Some are a combination of both.

I rather work with the guy that shows up everyday and is not a really good mechanic than a really good mechanic with a poor work ethic.

I’m in total agreement with the original poster but on the Feeder new hand held ivis , it only allows so many characters on the screen to document and explain each issue. Often I have to leave a full explanation attached to the dashboard.

Yeah that is one of the things I don’t like about the edvir, but you are doing the right thing and leaving a note.

We aren't worried about your time. Just like you don't worry about keeping our truck out of lineup with our dollies and supplies. We scramble around to find our truck with Dollie while being screamed at to verify air packages and get out of bldg. Not to mention a different truck with no key fob, no idea of key lockbox combination, and ofcourse its empty anyway. Then we sit in the seat and mirrors are adjusted for a fat short person and our knees hit steering wheel . Seat won't move cause its broken and mirrors require an act of god to adjust. Backdoor doesn't lock because that's too minor for mechanics to worry about and pops open if chain isn't used. Ofcourse it's raining and back door seal is no good and you deliver soaked letters and boxes to customers. And ofcourse only the passenger side wipers work unless you bang on motor while driving while trying to see out a fogged windshield due to being unable to switch heater to defrost. How bout you work with the info you get from overworked drivers and we will try and work with the crap you expect us to drive. Ups is one big cluster , IN EVERY ASPECT

They only give you like 3" to write what's wrong with the truck. Our mechanics biggest complaint is that he cant read anybody's name on the DVIR'S. Back in the day we were all taught to print our name, not sign it.

I just received a part I ordered in July.

UPS Freight lost a whole frame rail we had on order.

Park brake handles, turn signal switches and starters routinely go on backorder for weeks at a time.

Tried to order a simple wheel seal and it came back "restricted". Sometimes parts on order means just that. We can't chew scrap metal and out parts.

Sometimes, yes. I spent at least 2 hours pirating parts for my last engine swap job on a car from another center.
