Why does the union care when 22.4 jobs replace RPCD jobs but not when 22.3 jobs replace 22.2 honest to God full time positions? They say no more tiers but the tiers are not new inside the hub. Every time a member retires from a real full time position they are replaced with a 22.3. Our union should have protected those higher paying 22.2 positions.

We have a protected number of 22.2 jobs in our building. They go up for bid every two years with driver bids and when someone retires from there you must be driver qualified to bid it.

We don’t have porters at our building, a janitorial service cleans the building. Our 22.2 spots are driver qualified and pay rate to work twi and night shifts.

They keep you around because you'll do FT work for PT benefits and keep a FT job off the books.
