i think lead singer of system of a down solo project video for hara kiri song mentioned radiation is way up.

smoking bad too

I agree smoking three packs a day for 60 years is not a good idea. Even though those people are generally in their 80's at that point, so well above life expectancy. A few cigarettes and a few cigars here and there is not a big deal. This is another place I think we agree on, most people who are heavy smokers probably would never have smoked so much if they weren't constantly bombarded with cigarette propaganda advertising.

Someone posted some stats on another board I'm part of. Basically a pack a day barely registers on the increase in chances of getting cancer. I simply don't like smoking more than a couple of cigarettes a day, and I can go for months without any.

Not treating corporations like people with the right to propagandize through "free speech" is a good place to start. The US is the only country that allows pharma to advertise.

Do you see the grift? People have done what has been asked of them, and the people who profited are now trying to punish the people who gave them money and power. To some extent I understand that people are getting the just desserts of being mindless sheeple, but it is making life difficult for everyone, and mass murder is not a reasonable consequence given the crime. Neither is totalitarian control.

yea i see them chipping away at our standard of living and future. but i also believe they will cling to totalitarian control and mass murder to keep the short term profits going.

You’d cheer if it were your comrades who were running that dictatorship.
nowadays, america is only a democracy by name. we all know its ruled by money and the people who control both parties wont let any real challenger (bernie, kucinich, RFK) to get the nomination

these are just words. things change. right now you are ruled by money and have been since 1980, and the voting system is controlled by 2 parties, the media propagandizes the worst candidates and doesnt give equal time to all candidates, and the 2 parties gerrymander, plus the electoral college.

in the 1960s, 1970s america had a pro democracy movement with ralph nader's group, womens rights, environmental rights, anti war, civil rights.

great depression was a pro democracy movement with commies, socialists, and unions causing union rate to jump to 33% and the new deal getting passed.

women and people who didnt own property used to not be able to vote. but things change

Ralph Nader is an idiot, and we’ve been ruled by banks and the federal reserve since December 23, 1913
