You want a toe? I can get you a toe.
My BA is, Yes he hasn't even bothered to hear my story. Which is why I feel like I have been rolled over on.

Although I don't agree with the situation and how it's all went down. Your BA needs to fight for your job. If we are in fact getting the whole true story (still haven't figured out how u couldn't get bailed out)

I would lawyer up immediately its not a good sign that your BA is telling u to quit.

At this moment I have no license or vehicle. Will be taking a day trip tomorrow to union hall. One of the unfortunate things of living in bum-friend--- Egypt, and screwing up big time. And no many others have gotten DUIs and not been fired for it. That is not what they're trying to fire me for.

The pay is good, that doesn't mean I have disposable income, I couldn't make up the bail. If I had it I wouldn't be in this situation. Between a wife with an incurable illness, 2 kids, and a lot of bills, I make it by.

You don't need disposable income. U just need collateral. Payday loan lean on a house or car. Friends. I mean there are tons of ways to make bail.

Also I know you keep saying the DUI has nothing to do with why your being fired but it does.

If u were arrested for domestic battery u could go back to work as soon as you were released from jail. I think they are trying to fire you because they know u wont be able to drive for awhile and will have to invest tons of time and money to get u back.

if you drive and get a DUI conviction I think you can get fired but not sure. Its stupid to risk your job drinking and driving anyway.

Not true. The driver is required to inform his center manager before his next report, but there are contractual provisions allowing that driver to work two part-time shifts in order to get his 8 hour gurantee for up to a year. This was extended under the new contract to two years as many states have cracked down even harder on DUIs, which results in an even longer loss of driving privileges.

OK, then his center manager is trying to screw him over because it would be inconvenient to juggle those inside jobs to keep him working

That’s Craptacular
Looks like management did a good job. Getting a maniac out of one of those package cars is one of the best thing that can happen to ups in the name of safety. If it wasn't a carnage with you wiping out a whole family coming home from the movie theater then it would be you decapitating one of them low paid preloaders in one of them package cars. I honestly hope you don't get back your job in the name of safety, I believe that your lesson should be suspended for no less than a year if it hasn't been done yet. I understand that you made a mistake, but unfortunately, you will have to live with the consequences that come with it. No impunity!!
Kid, it's SAFTY! In the name of SAFTY! Talk to loyal teamster, he'll tell you lol

SAFTY is not a word.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around Terry D's original story.

First DUI, and an injured passenger.

Tossed in jail on a felony charge.

Couldn't make bail or be released on personal recognizance for three weeks.

I'll be the first to admit that I know nothing about California penal code, but here in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, a first DUI, without involving serious injury or death, or doing something really dumb like evading capture or beating on an arresting officer, is nothing more than a misdemeanor. Unless, of course, one has outstanding warrants or previous convictions.

Is California law really that strict?

In CA, a DUI resulting in injury is treated as a felony - regardless of previous offenses.

Lol, only if you knew how to spell, that retort would be epic.
