I respect those who decide that they do not want to own guns . I only ask them to respect my legal right in this country to legally own firearms.
As far as your statment on the overthrow of governments , I believe it is a bit naive --not you --I do not name call -but your statement.
You believe that in times of great turmoil that evil does not raise its ugly head.
No lootings, beatings, rapes and murders ? I guess during the L.A. riots some years back when the police retreated all of the citizens were safe ?? During the New Orleans hurricane aftermath when most of the Police force deserted --No problems ??
No Rapes, beatings, lootings, etc in Egypt tonite ?? That does not strike me as reality.
I have a great respect for my local law enforcement. Unfortunately where my house is located the nearest help would be approx 45 minutes away. UpstateNY (Dave) whose opinion I do respect stated his neighborhood is safe. So was mine until high unemployment and desperation has set in nearby. Homes in this great neighborhood are broken into quite regularly. You wonder why I an armed ?? Upstate also stated he does not own a gun because he does not want to live in fear. I own a gun for the exact same reason. People should learn to accept both positions !!!

Lootings will mostly take place in a riot. Has happned in Egypt, too, so did it in Toronto at the G20 riots.
But, only to stores, not to private citizen homes, or rape, or murder. In matter of fact no one even got killed in Toronto.
Neither have they in France, London, or Athens, recently.
Seems, Egypt wasn't happy with 74 demostrants being killed. So, not they replaced the police with the military.
Military personal are taking things a lot easier now, and aren't attacking the public, like the police have.
I don't know why you would think citizens are commiting rape and murder to eachother, when all they are doing is being united, with 1 goal, and that's freedom and a better government !

Boy are you off on this one. Looting, rape ,murder and any number of terrible things will occur during the collapse of society for any number of reasons. Natural disaster, man made disaster, power outages, war. If you remove authority long enough the worst will happen. Take away the ability to eat,drink, stay warm and people will turn on each other eventually regardless of country. This difference in ones ability to defend themselves will determine how fast it happens to them.

This is some amazing footage of downtown San Francisco before there were any traffic regulations whatsoever and horses, pedestrians, trolleys, and cars going every direction at every speed all had equal right of way. Most people think with no government regulation there would be mass destruction. When everyone has incentive to survive on their own with no governmental aid things actually run quite smoothly.
Incorrect. The other 99% of the time (accurate figure by the way) people die from fire arms as a result of accidents, murders, suicides, etc. We are talking actual shots fired here, not brandishing of weapons.

I just wonder how those pro gun activites can drive a pc car ! Really !
A full pc car has with most certainty more value then then a regular, "rob & carry", content of an average home.
In most cases a pc driver starts his morning with goods totalling probably well over $50 K, and most of it, brand spanky new, in boxes.
And already loaded up on wheels for the potential robber.
But, not only that, the pc driver also left his home, unsecured, unarmed for most of the entire day !
How do they function, all day long in this fear, being unable to self-defend their home or themselves during working-hrs ?

I didn`t watch the video. I took bbsams word on it`s content.
You talk so tough while the laws are in place, cops in the streets. Remove all that and when the bad guys are at your door feel free to cry out "but,but, we have laws!" and see how far it gets you. Laws are only meaningful when they`re enforced and someones there to enforce them. When that looter/rapist is taking all your stuff and has you bent over the kitchen table what will be going through your mind? Possibly "I wish I had a gun"?
