Same thing as an aircraft carrier and jets would do to invade America.
Mind you Hawaii is still a big milage away from mainland USA.

Mind you, milage is really spelled "mileage". If we see that you don't even bother to spell correctly, how in the world do you think we can take what thoughts you type seriously.

Well to play your game. An aircraft carrier and jets could launch an attack, which would be rebuffed by land based aircraft. But an aircraft carrier and jets could not launch an invasion. Ok? Invasion is a big word. Here let me help.

I hardly learned miles, forgive me for being part of the rest of almost the entire world, that is metric.

That's no excuse for not being able to spell.

And when you are trying to get free airplane trips, do you talk about your free air miles or your free air kilometers(hey, I managed to spell "kilometers" correctly)?

Cach, just forget it, the Japs had maybe 1000 staff while bombing Pearl Habour, like they would want to stragistically invade the contintal USA with being out numbered 1 to 20 Million.

Yeah, that makes sense. Even Hawaii itself they would have been out numbered by thousands to 1.

All they wanted to do is take out as many US navel ships as possible.
And that's a fact !

Not really, it's kilometres normally (true engish, just like litres). And if I look on my package of milk it would be spelled 1 Litre, same as gas stations.
As for Airmiles (that's just a term of a program I belong to).
But, if you look up or give distances here, it's definitly in kilometres.

Like this liquor bottle :

Since I am on an American website, I use the commonly accepted spelling for it.

So in what language is "milage" commonly used? Kleinese??

"stragistically" ??????

They had more than 1000 people in just the planes. Then there were 6 aircraft carriers and countless other ships. Their goal .as you said . was to take out the Pacific fleet to prevent the navy from defending the American interests such as Wake island and the Philippines. The U.S was never the target of invasion and was never attacked as such.

Keep trying.

That's what I'm trying to say ! But in Morelucks posts, gunowners claim, that's why the Japanese never landed on American soil, because of the high privately owned guns !
That's a joke !

You know last night when I got home, I got to watch our local late news.
3 people were stabbed, at 2 different locations (1 being outside a bar, the other just on the streets).
No one has life threatening injuries. But, when I seen that report, if this would have been any American city, atleast 1 of those confrontations would have been a shooting and someone killed.

I hate to say it, but anybody with young grown ups, that can legally party and go to a bar, you can only hope that no one takes out a gun outside the bar.

On another note, the US should have the lowest crime rate in history this year, since they had a record of gun sales last year.
Lets find out after the year is over if more gun sales add up to less crimes !
And while you were out, your door was locked, right? That way no one would be lying in wait with a butcher knife.

I do believe she was pointing out that locks only keep honest people honest.
Oh. Actually, that brings a new angle on the subject for me. Thank you. It seems people think guns somehow make evil people less evil or desparate people less desparate. From what I've seen, it just doesn't work that way. Of course, the sample of people I'm associated with wouldn't be all that respectable but they would be the type to break into houses. Maybe respectable people transfer their own feelings onto would-be criminals.

If you hang with people who aren't respectable, then you need to pick new friends. You can't pick your family, but you can pick your friends!!

Before I jump into the middle of this, please explain what you mean. You say you associate with people that would break into houses.

I am a member of AA. We have many members who are at any given time on the "wrong side of the law". And while AA claims not to be a religious sect (because it truly isn't) I see my part in it as very much first century Christianity. Yep. I "hang" with the prostitutes and tax collectors, the murderers and the rapists. But what can I say? They saved my life.
