If that isn't one of the stupidest comment I've ever seen come out of your bubble, I'd be hard pressed to come up with one to top it. Did the gun jump up and load itself and shoot those kids?

Maybe we should regulate people. Have to take an I.Q., and a life skills test, and demonstrate the ability to raise said offspring without assistance before one could have them.

Might not cut down on gun deaths but it would definitely take Maury Povich off the air.

Did you actually read that or are you Kleining it? The first thing it say in bold type is that :
"Many Deaths and
Injuries Caused by
Firearms Could Be
Prevented"

It doesn't say anything about guns being the killer only that preventive devices could prevent accident deaths. There`s three words that can solve the problem immediately. RESPONSIBLE GUN OWNERSHIP.

In fact I did read it--did you?

"Firearms are the fourth leading cause of accidental deaths among 5 to 14 year olds and the third leading cause of accidental deaths among 15 to 24 year olds. Across all age groups, accident shootings are the sixth leading cause of potential years of life lost because of accidents."

Yes, I did. Couldn`t help but notice the word "accidental" over and over. Now ask yourself wherein does the responsibility lay? The kids? They make stupid kid mistakes. The gun? It`s an inanimate object, no more dangerous when handled correctly than a fork. Or the gun owner who did not own the gun responsibly?

Firearms are not the fourth leading cause of accidental deaths or third, etc etc. Irresponsible gun ownership is.
