He deserved to be fired. Once they fled, he had no obligation to chase, pursue or apprehend anybody. GUN or no GUN, once they crossed the threshold of the front door, it was his responsibility to guard the store and make the call to the police. Let me ask you this?
Who was watching the register while he was outside chasing the women? He left the store unguarded and anybody left in the store could have taken whatever they wanted.
The "threat" to shoot him ended when the women fled.

Nice job by the store clerk. I can't believe any true AMERICAN would think he should be fired. No true AMERICAN would just stand back and allow these losers to simply walk away after threatening to kill him.

The clerk did not ask to be put in that situation. Its not fair to judge him if you werent there.
