Here come the weirdos again... of course we should get hazard pay or some kind of bonus, we’re putting ourselves in danger of getting the virus and infecting our family members who could be high risk like in my case. We’re out there working all night in this crap.. it’s only a matter of time before the a hub gets it and starts spreading it. Ups doesn’t give a :censored2: though.

stay home if you’re this concerned

It's a 'hazardous' situation, that's why everyone's closing.

That's not why everyone's closing.

If the government is telling people to stay home to stop a pandemic

That's not what the government's telling you.

The government is not telling you to stay home and closing businesses to try and stop this pandemic.

They are taking these measures to try and slow down the spread of this virus so as not to overwhelm the healthcare system and the hospital's all at once.

This virus is not going away until it runs its course or they develop a vaccine, and they know it.

Italy's hospitals are just about at capacity. They're going to have to start making decisions about who lives and who dies, who gets the ventilator and who doesn't.

The government is trying to keep that from happening here. Slow it down so that all the severe cases can get the medical help they need.

Italy has been doing that for a week and their hospitals are far beyond capacity. Anyone older than 60 is no longer treated if in serious condition with the virus.

I heard part of the Stimulus package the Democrats and Republicans are working on includes time and a half for all straight time hours and double time for all OT hours worked by cleaning personnel. This is supposed to go retroactive to the Wuhans discovery in the U.S. Some of these porters are going to be making more than feeder drivers this year.

Would that include car washers also?

Guys we need to think of the shareholders. They are really suffering. The stock is too low. We need more givebacks! Where is our union leadership? Where is Jamie Flemming?

Never said there wasn't. I said that the reason they are shutting down these businesses is not to stop the spread of the virus, but to just slow it down to keep the hospitals from being overwhelmed.

Not yet, but some experts in the field of medicine believe we could be, or we even are going to be there. I did a quick search and linked just 2, but check for yourself. We could be another Italy.

Italy’s Coronavirus Nightmare Could Happen in U.S. Within Days or Weeks, Ex-CDC Chief Says

What if Italy is showing the rest of the world its coronavirus future?

Fake news.

There are reports that "this medic" said this, or "this doctor" said this.... but here you go.
