How many guns did the police find in Blake’s car?

Think information like this will be important. I wouldn’t expect even a violent sex offender with a warrant who is stopped and reaching for his license and/or registration to be shot. So for me, additional context is key when such a person is shot trying to enter his car. Even after a struggle with officers.

Did he threaten to harm an officer with something that was in the car before trying to enter the car? Was there a visible weapon sitting in the car? Etc? If not, it probably was a bad shooting.

What really bothers me is the assumption that everyone will react rationally in a stressful situation like this. People excuse the police because it’s a dangerous situation. They get a pass for shooting because they were scared. No pass is given to the man that maybe was sticking his head in his car window to comfort his terrified children. Y’all Queda claimed another victim. 17 yr old from Illinois got arrested for heading up to Wisconsin illegally carrying a rifle and killing a few people with his “militia.” He walked past police after the killing and went home to bed. I can’t imagine why there are protests.

Regarding the above incident: Multiple people were assaulting an armed person while he was sitting on the ground. This included being hit from behind, in the head with a skateboard. The armed person fired upon his assailants. This resulted in the assault ending.

Why does the notion of a severely outnumbered, armed person successfully resisting a physical attack by a mob bother you? Is it because you finally recognize the people participating in this destructive, misinformed, and misguided cause are THAT daft?

Or rather, is it because that the armed person is White?

Not utilizing the tools for self-protection at your disposal is how cops end up dead.

Being detained by the police isn't a social. The Man has been given the power and authority to require you to follow the orders given you. Failure to comply has, as one of the legal consequences, the use of lethal force against you. The mere act of disobedience to those orders is a threat to the officer.
