115K as a package driver?! I didn't even break 70K last year and, yes, I am FT with my own run.

How many hours do you guys work? We run 60 hours and that alone is 105K. The extra pay comes in when holidays come around and UPS because of its screwups needs volunteers to work on saturdays to clean up the mess from the previous 5 days of undelivered packages.

They cut so many cars out here we work until 930pm. Some are forced to return packages to the centers as missed because of the over dispatching.. Our new division manager came from back east and he almost Chit himself looking at the hours we work, but he has no authority to change anything as dispatch comes from IE.

We havent made 70K for quite a while now, I checked, and the last time I made 70K in one year as a pkg driver was 2005!

Peace.

And really is 64 hrs a week legal? I dont know the IC rules as well as I should.
As for Herman Cain being the "soaker" so to say, what was Obama?
He soaked the vote from people who didnt even know what they were voting for. People who never voted. People unlike you who chose him, people who got something for doing it. People who thought all their troubles were over as Obama was going to pay everything.

so there is your soaker mentality.

Matt Halperin:

In October 2004 the Drudge Report published a memo Halperin sent to ABC News staff about coverage of the U.S. presidential election directing them not to "reflexively and artificially hold both sides 'equally' accountable" and that both John Kerry and George W. Bush used "distortion" in their campaign, but that Kerry's distortions were not "central to his efforts to win." Halperin was criticized by conservatives who used the memo to reinforce long-standing complaints of media bias. ABC News spokesman Jeffrey Schneider confirmed the authenticity of the memo and said Halperin "takes his responsibility to be fair as seriously as a heart attack."

How To Put An End to Herman Cain’s Presidential Run

If you want to stop Herman Cain’s Presidential Run, ask him these 15 questions:

1) How much profit did Godfather’s Pizza make in 1988?
2) How much profit did Godfather’s Pizza make in 1989?
3) How much profit did Godfather’s Pizza make in 1990?
4) How much profit did Godfather’s Pizza make in 1991?
5) How much profit did Godfather’s Pizza make in 1992?
6) How much profit did Godfather’s Pizza make in 1993?
7) How much profit did Godfather’s Pizza make in 1994?
8) How much profit did Godfather’s Pizza make in 1995?
9) How much profit did Godfather’s Pizza make in 1996?
10) How much profit did Godfather’s Pizza make in 1997?
11) How much profit did Godfather’s Pizza make in 1998?
12) How much profit did Godfather’s Pizza make in 1999?
13) How much profit did Godfather’s Pizza make in 2000?
14) How much profit did Godfather’s Pizza make in 2001?
15) How much profit did Godfather’s Pizza make in 2002?

I believe he will not answer because the Manager buyout of Godfather’s Pizza that he led in 1988 was heavily mortgaged to the bank. All profits apparently went to the bank. Thus for 15 years as C.E.O. of Godfather’s Pizza, the company did not not make any profits.
Cain likes to say that he brought back Godfather’s Pizza from the edge of bankruptcy and made it profitable. However since 1985 when Pillsbury first bought the company, there has been no data to back this up. Up to 1984, Godfather’s Pizza had made a profit every year of its existence. If it made a profit in 1985 is unknown, but we do know that the owners of Godfather’s Pizza, Diversifoods, projected that it would make a profit in 1986 through 1990.
Thus the truth is most likely that Cain was put in charge of a very profitable company and within three years brought it teetering to the edge of bankruptcy.
We won’t know the truth until he releases earnings and profit statements for each year that he was CEO, which he has never done. I suspect he never will do it.

Herman Cain, Release your Godfather’s Pizza Annual Earnings Statements!

In 1973 Godfather's was founded in Omaha, Nebraska. While operating under the ownership of Diversified Foods Inc., a period of rapid growth ensued. The Pillsbury Company bought Godfather's and operated it as a subsidiary in 1977. From 1977 until its peak in 1984 with annual sales of $365 million.

Following that growth period, intense competition within the pizza business and the failure of many of its stores to open in prime locations resulted in declining sales and profits. In 1986 Pillsbury appointed Herman Cain, an employee of Pillsbury Company since 1977, as the new Godfather's president. Cain had earned an impressive reputation previously with the Burger King restaurant chain division in the Philadelphia region. Godfather's Pizza under his management showed profits for the first time in three years, according to Stephen Madden of Fortune.

In January of 1988 Pillsbury announced that, because of weakening corporate profits went through a restructuring phase. As part of the restructuring--and prompted by takeover rumors--Pillsbury encouraged a leveraged buyout of Godfather's by a group of senior managers, led by President and CEO Herman Cain and Executive Vice-President and COO Ronald B. Gartlan.

In 1994 Herman Cain became the 73rd president of the National Restaurant Association (NRA). His CEO duties were handed over to President Ron Gartlan.

So Herman Cain was not in charge of Godfather's pizza from 1994 to 2002.

And Pillsbury Company bought Godfather's Pizza in 1977 not 1985.

So get you facts right before posting inaccurate information.

Are you now going to say Mark Halperin is a left wing media goon? If so, you know nothing of his body of work. He is very, very fair.

Now that's funny ... I don't care who you are.
Good example why certain people can't see the bias in the media.
BTW, FOX News is biased as well and conservatives can see that.

You think Mark Halperin (not Matt) is a left wing hack?

I remember in 2006' when Halperin lit up the BS (eg politics and media) world when he admitted the media was bias left. In that spin envelope of the time, Halperin also stated that, "the media hates the military" and looking back over the last 10 years, if the media treatment of the military is hatred, a lovefest would border on the edges of extreme sexual perversion the likes the porn industry couldn't stomach watching much less filming. Halperin a leftwing hack? Show me a real true leftwing MSM to begin with and then we'll have a conversation about where Halperin fits in. And no, I don't count MediaMatters as true leftwing either. A girl has to have her standards you know!
:happy-very:

As to Cain being omitted in polling data? In the early days of the 08' election, Paul with the republicans and Gravel with the democrats were more often than not omitted from such polls and even debates. If Cain stays the course and shows some strength, this omission I predict will change like it has today for Paul. For Cain since he speaks the same neo-conservative talk, the step up will be much faster than for Paul also.

If Cain can energize enough folk (his great oratory is showing signs of that) and like Paul, bring his own peanut gallery to the party, he'll get some sunshine but if he's unable, the toilet may flush on his hopes even before the cold winds of Iowa begin to howl!

Thank-you, Wk. I think the link you posted shows Halperin to be a fairly straight-shooting journalist as far as how he sees things. Can't really side with Hannity on anythind and be called left-wing.

I despise HD management. That company could be so much more than what they are--a marketer of 1920's technology wrapped up in intricate mystique and ingenious marketing. $16,000 for a used air-cooled V-Twin touring bike? No thanks. Same money buys a new Honda VFR 1200. Not nearly the bragging rights, but then again, that's not why I ride.

The only hold back on the honda is all the rice you have to burn. LOL, just kidding, I used to ride a Yamaha...
