A good rural driver can dump those in town.

We have a driver who we mockingly call "4 o'clock Rock" as he will NSS and NSN stops just to get done early. He is off the road for a year (DWI) and when he comes back we will sit down with him and tell him this :censored2: don't fly anymore.

How would that be your business

You want a toe? I can get you a toe.
Work smarter, not harder.

When I had my rural route, I would quickly figure out where my chasers worked or what kind of cars they drove. With their permission I would indirect their stuff as per their direction.

I would save as much as 40-50 miles per day not running off chasers.
Yeah had a guy like that at my old center. He got one route eliminated perm and another is only in 2-3 days a week now. Why because he took a satellite route that ran 60ish stops and now he runs 130ish.

Guess what all of the businesses hate him too. Couple of the large employers in town he will drop 30+ stops at. And then they beg him to work his vacations because no one does over 80 stops on the route.

So which instructions are we to follow?
The ones in our DIAD training or what is told to us by local management
I follow management. I had a box of 6 jugs of window washer fluid completely destroyed. The box was useless..contents were fine. I sheeted it how I was taught in diad training. Got a message saying if the contents are ok just leave the jugs with a note apologizing. Lol

Your boss was correct-----sheet the package, peel off the label, place the 6 jugs of washer fluid by the door and put the label on top. You could have then left a note briefly explaining what happened.
