Border Patrol union blasts Homeland Security instructions to ‘run away’ and ‘hide’ from gunmen
By Perry Chiaramonte

A pocket card handed out to Homeland Security employees in April detailing how they should handle an “active shooter” situation.
Border Patrol agents in Arizona are blasting their bosses for telling them, along with all other Department of Homeland Security employees, to run and hide if they encounter an “active shooter.”
It’s one thing to tell civilian employees to cower under a desk if a gunman starts spraying fire in a confined area, say members of Tucson Local 2544/National Border Patrol Council, but to give armed law enforcement professionals the same advice is downright insulting. The instructions from DHS come in the form of pamphlets and a mandatory computer tutorial.
“We are now taught in an ‘Active Shooter’ course that if we encounter a shooter in a public place we are to ‘run away’ and ‘hide’” union leader Brandon Judd wrote on the website of 3,300-member union local. “If we are cornered by such a shooter we are to (only as a last resort) become ‘aggressive’ and ‘throw things’ at him or her. We are then advised to ‘call law enforcement’ and wait for their arrival (presumably, while more innocent victims are slaughtered).”

New rules for border agents?

If an illegal points a gun at you, you are to run away and hide.
If the threat continues, you should throw things at him.

Hey, this is America, not France!!! Americans defend themselves, they don't run & hide. Homeland security is a joke!!

Here's a story that should never have happened, again.

[h=1]TSA Let 25 Illegal Aliens Attend Flight School Owned by Illegal Alien[/h] The illegal-alien flight-school attendees included eight who had entered the country illegally and 17 who had overstayed their allowed period of admission into the United States.
Six of the illegal aliens were actually able to get pilot’s licenses.
Discovery of the trouble at the flight school began when local police--not federal authorities--pulled over the owner of the school on a traffic violation and were able to determine that he was an illegal alien.
Although the illegal alien who owned the Massachusetts flight school had not undergone a required TSA security threat assessment and had not been approved for flight training by the agency, he nonetheless held two Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) pilot licenses, also known as FAA certificates

Maybe they should all stay at Janet's house. I don't want terrorists here unless they are flipping!

And no, they won’t try and stop them.

Via Beltway Confidential:
Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano told Congress today to expect more members of designated foreign terrorist organizations to visit the United States.

“I think you are right in pointing out that as we move forward we are
going to continue to have visitors to this country that the State Department and others feel are useful to bring to the country to have discussions moving forward who say they are members of the political party that in the past have been so designated,” Napolitano told House Homeland Security Committee chairman Pete King, R-N.Y. during a committee hearing this morning.

I am confused.
How long have the RNC ,DNC , and the Nov. election been planned ?
Yet the DHS needed to have an emergency supply request submitted .
Makes one wonder just what structure will they be protecting ?

Do not know how true this is, but I saw this. I do not read Mr Jones post
but just came across this.

Homeland Security to assist with DWI arrests over Labor Day weekend

The Department of Homeland Security is sending out its state watchdogs to arrest drunk drivers and draw
their blood over Labor Day weekend.

It echoes of a national trend of the increasing presence of federal police and military troops on our streets.
And the state of Tennessee is a pioneer in the ghastly movement.

Tennessee has touted itself as the first state in the nation to have Transportation Security
Administration (TSA) workers conducting random searches on its streets.

Echoing DHS’s “See Something, Say Something” program, drivers are also urged to call authorities
if they see something suspicious.

The state's Department of Safety & Homeland Security Commissioner, Bill Gibbons, has
said, 'Where is a terrorist more apt to be found? Not these days on an airplane, more likely
on the interstate.”

Now why would Big Sis’ DHS want to wait until after the election? Hmmm, total mystery.

WASHINGTON (AP) — U.S. Sen. Robert Menendez employed as an unpaid intern in his Senate office an illegal immigrant who was a registered sex offender, now under arrest by immigration authorities, The Associated Press has learned. The Homeland Security Department instructed federal agents not to arrest him until after Election Day, a U.S. official involved in the case told the AP.

Luis Abrahan Sanchez Zavaleta, an 18-year-old immigrant from Peru, was arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in front of his home in New Jersey on Dec. 6, two federal officials said. Sanchez, who entered the country on a now-expired visitor visa from Peru, is facing deportation and remains in custody. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss details of Sanchez’s immigration case. [...]

Authorities in Hudson County notified ICE agents in early October that they suspected Sanchez was an illegal immigrant who was a registered sex offender and who may be eligible to be deported. ICE agents in New Jersey notified superiors at the Homeland Security Department because they considered it a potentially high profile arrest, and DHS instructed them not to arrest Sanchez until after the November election, one U.S. official told the AP. ICE officials complained that the delay was inappropriate, but DHS directed them several times not to act, the official said.
