Great place to visit but when I was there I never had enough time to see everything. It was more of a mad dash to see as much as possible. I did better when I went back but there are still places I haven't been to.

I've lived in this area for years and still haven't seen everything. Now that I'm retired I've finally got the time.

I was there one year during the cherry blossoms (1st of April)

Spring is definitely better than mid Summer heat and humidity.

Embassy row? Not recently but before I worked for UPS (30+ years ago) I worked for a cleaning company downtown and used to drive by there every night on my way to work.

That is so not true. There are many beautiful neighborhoods in DC. And lots of beautiful architecture not even including the monuments. If you haven’t been there in the last 15 years you’d be totally surprised at how much has changed. Yes, there are ghettos, but they’re shrinking with all the gentrification going on.

Its been about 20 years since I was there last.
