401ks and 30yr mortgages are the biggest scams in the modern world. Anybody putting money in an unmatched 401k should really think twice.

Everybody seems to love getting :censored2:ed by the big banks.

It lets people living beyond their means and think they actually have a chance to enjoy their life.... good luck

I’m happy I only have a cpl months worth of salary in my 401k. I stopped contributing years ago, but I’m still feeling baby about not being able to take out MY MONEY after paying any taxes and penalties.

I agree with you on the 30 year mortgage part.

I am actually thinking of taking $10K from my 401k rollover to do some day trading.
Be very very careful. 95% of day traders loose. Also every single trade is a taxable event. So short term capital gains will eat up your profit.

I personally only leverage trade bitcoin using 3-10x leverage. I just play around, no serious amounts of money yet. You need to literally do months of watching and starting to learn and see patterns, as well as learn to read buy/sell orders, understand candles ect. Tons of stuff to learn. Best part is you can sign up to most bitcoin leverage exchanges as an anon, don’t put in real personal info, and simply cash out proceeds via “localbits” in peer to peer transactions or bitcoin atm machines to avoid the tax man.... this is illegal though of course. I claim everything because illegal things are bad

90% of my crypto money is in coins/tokens that I’m holding for the mid term.

Concerning real stocks.... you are battling computers that were literally posistioned physically as close as possible to wall st exchange to get info first and make fractional second decisions

Good luck if you do. It can be done successfully if you dedicate your self to it

Much more satisfying doing it on my own.

Wife and moved in together at 19 and 21. Did we wish we had more help at times? You bet. Mostly I thought her dad should be helping some with her school instead of buying airplanes.

But paying off that 6 figure student loan debt and being worth about a million dollars in our mid 30's all on our own makes it seem like that much more of an accomplishment
You seem to know all the answers Dudley do Right. You work at ups for fun even with your almighty knowledge. I guess Upstate is leaving so we need a new know it all.

I thought I could take out my Roth 401k... can i not?
Why would you ask random internet strangers and not PrudentialRetirement themselves

You eat saltines for lunch brah?

For the 10th time, I called Prudential twice. Like I said I was under the impression that you could withdraw your Roth at any time and Just have to pay penalties and tax. It seems ups is special and doesn’t allow it out of prudential.

Saltines aaaaand sardines for lunch it seems.

Watch out with all that saltiness man. It’s not good for you.

I honestly don’t understand how anybody can have such a problem with how I want to invest my money. It’s honesty sad that some people can get theirs panties bunches so far into their vag. It’s my money. Laugh at me when I fail. You and half the people in here will feel better about your self it seems.

A 401 k can be a ungodly low risk investment that lowers your taxable income and keeps money untouchable from flash in the pan ideas. Massive gains? Never, but it’s a slow and steady option. Keep it in and forget about it

I don’t understand browncafe.

80% of the threads on here are people bitching and moaning. Nobody takes action. Most people just settle and get content. I’m not most people. Good luck to all in their endeavors

Your wrong. If opened up a Roth at any other financial institution on my own I can withdraw at ANYTIME. I wouldn’t need documentation.

I understand untaxed 401ks and company matched 401ks are different.

I wanted to take my already taxed money out of my Roth which I should be allowed to do.
