But you aren't from the other opco, you work for BBSAM inc. who happens to contract with Ground.. so see you are just an outsider's outsider.

I am an authorized officer of bbsam Inc., so as such, I am able to post a Ground perspective. You have no idea what that means, do you?

I think that makes you a business contact for an outside outsider...?

And to keep with the trend of most FDX officers, most officers CEO COO CFO are all out of touch with the way the company really runs.
Keep up your keen observations.

I'd say it's you guys who are out of touch with how important or unimportant you really are.

Apples and Oranges..
I never said I'm important, I never titled myself "Chief Driving Officer" although I like the ring of it.
Can I be replaced, sure. Will the company settle for less than stellar performance, as I see it no.
Since we at Express are constantly subject to performance reports(ad nauseum) Something I'm not sure you quite grasp the magnitude of.
We can only wait and see, I don't see a Union as a possibility, since a majority of this "workforce" is happy with what they got 20-25 years ago.
It is a very "me first" company, look around at Express. On any given day most routes will not help another route without being forced by management
these aren't really the go getter types unforturnately, they won't go out on a limb for co worker, why would they go out on a limb for a union. They got their cake, and aren't sharing. Eventually I believe with Attrition Express will be lean and mean, and maybe offer who's left nice compensation. and Perhaps be treated like the Premium product we deliver.

Anybody else think this place is like an interactive never-ending Looney Toons cartoon? Day after day it goes, everyone constantly bopping one another on the head. I love it!

And I have to say for as much as a PITA bbsam is, I couldn't imagine the place without him. He's definitely one of the colorful characters here that keeps it entertaining. For that anyway, he has my gratitude.

okay, whose serve is it?

I think being from the FAR more profitable opco, that my contributions here are more than warranted.

Far more profitable because of the slave wages and the no benefits concept.

Also Ground would never exist had it not been from all the hard work from EXPRESS employess that made a bundle for FDX Corp.

Some things you very conviently forget, don't 'ya?

Hey I think BBSAM has offered an interesting view of Ground, however for the most part, none of it relates to Express.

It's hard to title yourself. You're just a courier. I think I'm going to give my employees new titles... "Chief logistics specialist for the western region". For the guy running the route furthest west. That will look better on his résumé than "fedex express courier". Hope you don't apply for the same job when they cut your hours to nothing.

If in a few years I don't get enough hours to make it worth staying it'll be my pleasure to walk away rather than to continue to put up with the kind of asinine remarks, like above, that are too often uttered by management types, no matter the opco.

And you are just a supervisor with a fancy title. You can call yourself a ceo of " make believe company" but in the end you are no different than our own ops managers. And in my opinion less valuable than us couriers who could run our routes without them.
