they will probably keep it for awhile then, it would take something pretty bad to send it to the yard with a new engine. It looks to be in good shape, you should see what some of our 700s look like, some with half the miles. One driver since new and being in the southeast probably helped it.
I took care of my baby, I used to tip my mechanic at Christmas. And they appreciated it, well worth it. Not many of these left, they have been buying mainly P8s and P10s. I despise the new cars. They are fast, but they are narrow and don't turn too well. I hated all those alarms too.

I used to cover a route with one of the 60.... package cars. Out of town cushy. 130 stops 200 pieces. Backdoors that swing out. Some of the best days I had in package. Nice and quiet and is much in the country as could be where I am. Always thought I can’t wait till I snag one of these routes for myself In 15 years.

Yes, they sent me a packet of info.

My pre health care was and is still today provided by UPS and they too sent me a packet describing what they cover when I hit Medicare age.

Don't know how it works when you have your retirement healthcare thru the union when you hit the Medicare age tho?
When you hit Medicare age you automatically loose all Teamster / UPS insurance. Then you have to go find your own supplemental insurance coverage to back up Medicare.

I have to admit that it is very nice so far, I don't have a care in the world right now. We both did 40 plus years and that is unheard of these days. I need to come up and visit you soon, I still get out your way.
Go buy a motorcycle and get some wind therapy

You know theyre gonna call him in a few weeks and ask if hes willing to come in for time and a half 😂
Why would anyone want to retire and then go right back to dealing with UPS? Scratch has already said he is financially secure so I'm going to be so disappointed if he goes back for peak. We have only had one retiree at my old center do that and he was always the biggest brown noser anyway so we expected it.

Congrats Scratch! Enjoy your retirement! I work at P-dale and we messaged a few times about a center manager we both had that we liked. I heard he had some health problems in the past couple of years. I'm hoping to make it to at least 60. Summer seems to get just a bit hotter each year though.

You would think with having a UPS / Teamster National contract's since the mid 1970's we would be all under one retirement system of healthcare when we retire. Even within Teamster region's the plans differ in how they are applied when one retires and how it works after Medicare kicks in.
