I was told today that my posts on here are still being monitored. During the conversation it was brought to my attention that a lot of people on here talk bad about UPS. I was "asked" to see if I could find something positive to say about the UPS, where I work. Down here in sunny South Florida.

I will now try to find some sort of positive/nice thing to say about my UPS.

My Manager is a nice dresser.
My On-Road Supe does a fantastic job..........in the Air Force Reserve.
My Dispatch Supe is a great listener.
The Preload Supe has great patience (She had to deal with me)
Most of the Drivers get along very well with each other, as do the other shifts.

That's all for now, but can any of you find something good to say about your UPS?

Ahhh its like censorship but not really, don't worry I was being "monitored" too, probably still am

With ODS-E, UPS can "monitor" my performance and statistics through out the day. But for some reason they still insist I use my personal phone to call them and tell them the very same information that they supposedly are capable of monitoring. So I wouldn’t worry too much about UPS’ abilities to monitor much of anything. They are obviously inept.

As for some thing positive… this Thanksgiving I will be very thankful. I will be appreciative of the fact that I have a great job with a mediocre corporation. I will also remind myself that it could be worse... I could be in management and a so-called "partner" within the very same second-rate corporation.

Steve, did you ask them if they wanted to see some good things posted on here then why didnt they just get on here themselves to do so?

"I have never seen my management team fling poo at each other."

Good one! I've never seen that here, either.

About the only thing I can that is good is that 90% of management works during the day, and I work at night- So I don't have to deal with them!

Excellent point.

Ah, yes. Westside put himself out there as well.

Illiterate?

I get more micro-managing in one day, then most people get all month.
Now, what's not good about that?

Stug-man, use this to your advantage. Now knowing you will be heard...well.. read....think about issues you've always wanted to address. Maybe someone in management will say.."he may have something there!".

Looks like you will be the "face" for all of UPS in Stuart,Fla., take the baton and run with it.

If you've been at UPS long enough to have 6 weeks vaca, you know better. They can well make Stug's working life a living hell without provocation or justification.

Now for something good about UPS in Stuart Florida, Stug works there.
Thanks 555!

Stug, what does the union say about UPS monitoring what you do off the clock? I think you should grieve it, it has to be the pinnacle of over-supervision and harassment.
My BA says not to sweat it. As long as I don't post any pictures of "their" equipment, I should be fine. I told him I don't shoot porn.:wink2:

I agree but STUG put himself in this position by posting all of those pictures. I wonder how they will react to his thread "I Smell A Thief..."?
They'll try to promote me to LP, afterall, I DID SMELL A THIEF!

I like the free clothes !! The chicks dig it too!! Thanks Brown :happy2:
+1

LOL, good point. They could infilitrate the Cafe and you'd never know...................LOL, RIGHT!

I forgot to mention another on-road supe at the begining of this thread. He's the on-raod for the other belt, (we have 2). This is the guy whose photo you may remember from my blog. I must tell you that this guy is one of the best. He's even tempered (even after he found out I took his picture), well, after the initial explosion, he calmly told me what he thought and life went on without retribution. Our daughter actually gave birth and we became first time Grandparents on the same day. Even though we don't always see eye to eye, he remains a nice guy. So if you want to know what's good about UPS in Stuart Florida, this is it.

I must also give props to our long time OMS, who has survived a battle with cancer and is still one of the sweetest ladies around. There, is that good enough?

When I arrived at work this morning, I was informed that everyone had read what I wrote about them. I didn't have to go into the office, so I'm assuming that I'm safe, for now.

This post wins my vote.
The only caveat, I would make, is that the "managers" should make something positive happen, instead of looking for someone to blame.

The day that my management team "insists" that I use my personal phone to call them on work business...is the day that one of them finds my phone shoved about 3 feet up his butt.

I'm more than willing to use my phone to make the day go smoother...but its my choice and no one elses.

I got a good thing to say. UPS is better than working as a carnival ride operator. At least im not surrounded by drug users and convicted felons all day and management telling you to work harder or else your fired...... oh wait. Well at least the pay is slightly better. :)
