NO, who was "Stupid" was Ronald Reagan for selling them FIGHTER JETS, taking there money and not giving it back when the transaction was cancelled putting us into a situation years later where an INTERNATIONAL COURT was going to assign us MILLIONS of dollars in INTEREST if we didnt give it back.

If you want to go back into the "wayback" machine, go far enough to find the real culprits of this action.

Maybe if REAGAN wasnt selling ARMS to our enemies during his administration, we wouldnt be having such a tough time in the middle east....

A court of international law was going to rule against our country, and we struck a better deal than we would have gotten in the courts.
