May I ask how a single payer health care system would benefit Teamsters, since we have excellent insurance already?
ok so when we go to negotiate a contract, there's stuff we want from UPS like pay, respectful treatment, pension funding, healthcare. and it's pulling teeth on every single point. right? if healthcare is removed from the list of things we need from UPS, then we can use the bargaining power we would need to put into that to get more pay, pension, and better work conditions? i mean doesn't workers not being guaranteed healthcare benefit management more, because it's then a carrot they can use against us?
