What the hell is a small sort? I think we're the only building in SoFla w/o one. We have one unload door which our daily retain trailer is parked on during preload, for scanning smalls.
So 7 unload doors altogether with about 50-100 bags per trailer equals a huge ass mess of smalls towards the end of the sort. Sups say they have been begging for a small sort for years but nothing yet.
One sup told me they have to treat it like an investment and if they will see a return. Really? They can't spend 50k for a small sort for us to take a huge load off the primary and greatly reduce the chance of as accidents from all the empty bags laying around? (Cmon we all know much of a death trap those bags can be if enough of them cover the floor/grating).
the way I see it, if they did spend that money and put in a small sort they would triple that return in less than a week.
But what do I know, I'm just an hourly working as instructed
