Justifying being deliberately obstinate about safety/stealing time.

Kind of a duel subject.

A fellow driver(top hand) conveyed another driver received a warning letter for running a stop sign. Did it right in front of an ORS. Perp was dismissive all the way through. Top hand: "That's a stupid place for a stop sign anyway..." Where does this attitude come from? The Company refuses to paint stop stripes to highlight these stop signs. They refuse. Why? Not in the MOP. Master Operating Plan. Not there....ain't gonna happen.

We have many overhead vehicle doors. No pedestrian traffic. Contractors are not instructed on yard rules.....they walk through them all the time. We have car wash folks run the stop signs on both sides of the doors....all day/night. We have hub pedestrians walk across these doorways expecting all to stop. See? Matter of time.

Stealing time. We are instructed to take a full hour meal. Latest termination: 30 min. meal and lot's of unscheduled paid breaks. Why? Taking 30 min. puts you on the radar....this guy is a multi decade employee. Why do we do this?

I'm just glad when the overhead doors are not destroyed by said drivers.
They put those doors on a timer at my building but only had the sensor to open on one side so we had a lot of times where doors started closing on trucks already passing through. They finally fixed that but it was a brain scratcher as to why they set it up that way in the first place.

I try not to paint with such a brought brush. But to answer the why I guess you would have to take each case, issue, or obstinate act individually.

You can then ask the perpetrators of each act what motivated them to be deliberately obstinate in the manner described.

You can have a small thread weaved "throughout" a pattern...yes? Or perhaps a "broad" brush....yes?

To wit: We now have a "thread" on BC about "revenge" on a customer. Perhaps a small minority...but sprinkled throughout our Company.

That was just an idiot temp employee…idiots are everywhere in very organization, so what’s your point?
