Has any long time package car drivers been diagnosed with lead poisoning? I worked in the warehouse four years and drove package car for thirty three years (retired three years ago). I started having hand tremors, Doctors are trying to figure out what caused them. Metals test revealed high lead levels. Just wondering if any other employees have been diagnosed with high lead levels. May want to educate current employees with these issues.

We used to joke about getting "Brown Lung" from breathing all the cardboard dust in the air.

But.... lead ? I can't imagine what the source would be.

What "warehouse" did you work at for four long years, and 33 driving? 33 years plus, in and out out of the warehouse is a long time! Was it Clarksville? I do know they were still using leaded gas, the trucks were so old. The paint might have been lead based too.

I was wondering the same. Inside sorting is touching mostly cardboard. Driving is mostly touching cardboard, plastic and some metal. Not aware of any lead that is used within UPS facilities that an employee would come in daily contact with.
