Let’s talk about who’s a threat to “democracy”

well your military budget / empire will collapse by then and youre already a failed state
So you say. Tell me how China is going to put sufficient troops into the U.S. to conquer us? Ships? Planes? Think we're just going to watch them come towards us without stopping them? Do you really think things through? Here's some facts for you. China now has the fasting aging population in the world. Their population is going to be less than half what it is now by 2100. A good deal less by 2050. And their economy is melting down. Not talking about the stock market. They are literally destroying themselves. China has to import 85% of fuel and raw materials to run its manufacturing. And it's no longer the cheapest manufacturer. Meanwhile it doesn't have enough young people. And has a lot more men than women. Furthermore the Chinese aren't innovative. They have to steal technology because they have difficulty developing technology. And do very little high value manufacturing because of it. None of what I just posted is a big secret. You want so badly for some socialist paradise to knock the U.S. off its perch. Won't be the Chinese. By the way China now has the biggest navy. Guess what? Something like 80-90% of their ships can't even travel 1200 miles. The U.S. Navy could easily block much of that 85% of fuel and raw materials from even reaching China. So good luck with the Chinese.

China navy can’t even reach Taiwan. No way they can compete with USA tech. China has the man power that’s about it.
Taiwan isn't far from the Chinese coast so don't think that would be a problem. I'm betting Taiwan is a lot better armed than Ukraine so any invasion is going to cost China dearly. And may cause the CCP to lose their grip on power. So it's a real gamble if they decide to invade.

I can’t predict the future but I don’t see China attacking Taiwan. they’ll throw a fit and cause a scene like they did recently that’s about it. USA has too much interest in Taiwan and will definitely get involved.

Unless of course we have a president who's compromised by his family receiving millions from the Chinese. Then most likely it'll be an "internal matter" that we'll stay out of. If the Chinese do decide to invade it'll likely happen before a Republican president is sworn in.

Like I said I doubt it. It’s all speculation at this point. China knows it can’t sustain a war with the United States. Plus logistically it would be a nightmare for China. Taiwan is heavily armed and entrenched. Anything possible though I guess.

Edit: also I believe this is all for show. Xi is just trying to pump out his chest and not appear weak to his people. If the Ccp had any real chance of taking Taiwan it would’ve been immediately after their civil war. That window of opportunity is long gone.
