I really enjoyed the part about him and his Siblings forced to sleep in surplus beds from World War 2…must have been an absolutely horrible experience!!
Never said it was a horrible experience, in fact just the opposite.
Just posting to the one who wanted others to pay their bills.
Through hard work, dedication and education anyone can improve their circumstances in America.
Speaking of beds, be sure to keep your checklist with you.;)
Seems you need to keep taking a refresher course.

I think it's due to Amazon doing their own deliveries. I have to say as a frequent amazon shopper that my packages from amazon get delivered on time or before in pristine condition.
Yes…. but quite often they are laying in the schrubs next to the screen porch or on the corner of US1 and the driveway.

first of all ups profits off of your labor
No.... first of all I profit off my labor.. by taking a healthy slice of the money our customers pay for the service I provide.

If you feel so “exploited” then go do something else. Please don’t equate pre 1900 labor conditions to today. Mill workers in 1800s didn’t make $100k, didn’t have any healthcare, didn’t know what a pension was.

How do you even find some of those addresses??? 3 miles south of Reds gas station dalton hwy…you ever get pkgs going to obscure addresses like that?
No harder than rural routes in lower 48. Everyone in our borough (our version of “county” has a real life physical street address and in theory they are supposed to be marked with s number visible from road. But it’s not well enforced. Nevertheless, gps navigation usually works and if needed we can access the borough property maps online to find a tricky address.

There are places off the road system that have no addresses in Alaska.... we end up shipping stuff to their village with same small commercial airlines that fly the mail and virtually everything else into these villages across the state. They don’t need an address just the persons name. The village airline agent know who they are and how to find them as these villages are at most a few hundred people.

Ive seen ups packages to villages with fake addresses just to get whatever online seller to take the order..

Doesn't every Alaskan citizen get a free government check every year?
Yes. By our side ate constitution the citizens of the state all share in the ownership of natural resources (I.e. oil) and we are paid out a dividend on the pool of money we have amassed selling our natural resources. The “Permanent Fund” as it is sitting at an all time high of $82 billion. Part of the funds earnings are used to fund state government, some are reinvested in the fund, some are paid out in dividends to the citizens, The amounts of these dividends has led to a great deal of political wrangling in the past few years.

I think that if a house is unmarked we should legally be able to spray paint their number onto their mailbox or front door.

I think just the native alaskans. Correct if I'm wrong.
No the Permanent Fund Dividend is for all Alaskans, There are some residency requirements that have to be met but being Native is not one of them. This year we got $1114 each, was supposed to be more but our state legislature is pretty dysfunctional right now.

Many (most?) Native Alaskans are members of the various native corporations that were formed years ago some of which have prospered very nicely.. those native shareholders do often receive nice dividend payouts from the native corporations.

Do the native Alaskans have casinos that they are able to benefit from??

No capitalists depend on their workers, no getting around that unless they automate or something else.

Workers dont necessarily need bosses or shareholders lol
Somebody has to lead, somebody has to organize the labor or it’s all senseless. Communism just replaces old bosses with new and bosses. Old bosses are financially focused, and in collective bargaining we bargain for our fair share of the spoils our business brings in.

New bosses are power and control focused. They will dictate to the workers how to work, where to work, when to work. Dissent will not be tolerated, choice will only be exercised by the state and th re hr will be a “state” even if you call it a “free collective”.

We’re privileged to be in a phenomenal pension plan out in the west… not everyone is so lucky. And I never brought up anything remotely resembling workers in 1800… I know I can go anywhere, still doesn’t mean that ups has to treat their employees like they do.. maybe it’s different up there?? Know many that work at union shops, including family and they don’t have nearly the problem that I have seen first hand here… everything can be improved on, including employee relations.

If u r an employee u r not a capitalist
Of course I am, I have half a million in capital invested right now in companies across the country and around the world. So when the corporate “owners” profit...that’s me!

And so does anyone else with a fat 401k and/or IRA which I would hope includes most top rate Teamster UPS Drivers.
